The Pedestrian publishes only essays that exemplify the essay tradition variously called “light”, “personal”, or “familiar”. Submitters are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the tradition. Resources for doing so can be found at http://thepedestrian.org/about-pedestrian/personal-essays/resources. Not all “creative nonfiction” is suited to this journal.
